The two-day Product Owner training is designed to guide you step-by-step through all aspects of the Product Owner role.

Day 1:

• Introduction to Agile Working: We start with a general introduction to the world of Agile, clarifying the context of Scrum and the role of the Product Owner within the bigger picture.
• The Scrum Framework: Before diving deeper into the Product Owner role, we cover the Scrum Framework as a whole. Our experienced trainers bring the theory to life with real-world examples.
• The Role of the Product Owner: A significant part of the first day focuses on the Product Owner role. Questions like “What makes a good Product Owner?”, “What competencies are required?”, and “How do you work effectively with the Scrum Master?” are thoroughly explored. We also discuss common pitfalls.
• Creating Vision: A clear vision is essential to achieve valuable results with the Scrum team. Developing and communicating this vision is one of the key responsibilities of the Product Owner.
• Practice Game: Since many people learn best by doing, we begin an interactive game on the first day, allowing you to apply the learned theory immediately.

Day 2:

• The Product Backlog: Instead of an extensive project plan, Scrum uses the Product Backlog, the primary document managed by the Product Owner. We learn what a Product Backlog is, how to create it, and how to set the right priorities.
• Game Continuation: On the second day, you continue the Product Owner game, further putting your acquired knowledge into practice.
• Release Planning: In Scrum, projects are ideally delivered in smaller increments to gather customer feedback along the way. Planning these “releases” is a crucial responsibility of the Product Owner.
• Practice Exam: To prepare for the official Scrum.org exam, we practice with relevant exam questions. Obtaining an official certificate via Scrum.org is optional.

Certification

As part of the training, you will receive an exam code from Scrum.org for the PSPO I Exam. You’ll receive this code within 48 hours after completing the training, and it has no expiration date. The exam can be taken online at any time.
