The Professional Scrum Master I training is suitable for you if you:

Program:

Day 1:

• Introduction & learning objectives: We start the first day of the Scrum Master training with an interactive introduction and an inventory of the learning objectives.
• Introduction to Agile working: You will learn what Agile working entails and how Scrum fits into this. We will also discuss the differences between traditional working methods and Agile.
• The Scrum Framework: The majority of the day will be spent on an interactive exploration of Scrum. You will learn about the roles within Scrum: Product Owner, Developers, and Scrum Master. We will discuss and experience the meetings that Scrum prescribes. You’ll also learn the ins and outs of the Product Backlog and Sprint Backlog. Since you’re participating in the Scrum Master training, we’ll focus specifically on this role.

 
Day 2:

• Scrum simulation: You’ll learn Scrum by experiencing it in a simulation, which will allow you to experience the benefits of collaboration firsthand.
• Application to your own work environment: We place a high value on directly translating the lessons to your work environment. How can you use Scrum within your organization? For which tasks is Scrum suitable and for which tasks is it not?
• In-depth exploration of the Scrum Master role: We’ll pay extensive attention to the tasks and responsibilities of the Scrum Master. As a Scrum Master, you are primarily a (team) coach; you’re responsible for helping improve collaboration continually as a coach. But how exactly do you coach? Other responsibilities include facilitating the team and explaining and implementing Scrum within the broader organization.
• Overview of Kanban: Not all work is suited for Scrum. Many Agile teams use Kanban. We will briefly go over this methodology, as knowing its basics can be practical.
• Preparation for the Scrum.org and IIABC.org exam: We explain what is necessary to learn and what nott.

 
Exam

As part of the training, you will receive an exam code from Scrum.org for the PSM I Exam. This code will be sent to you within 48 hours after completing the training and has no expiration date. The exam can be taken online at any time.
